Executive Orders are not law. Only the legislative branch has been given authority by the people to write laws. Even they do not have the authority to make laws that restrain the people.

After many hours spent researching, drafting and getting all email addresses for the Prosecutors, Police Chiefs and Sheriffs, Katherine sent a letter with a legal analysis correcting AG Nessel’s May 4th guidance to law enforcement showing how all emergency power Executive Orders are unenforceable as a matter of law as of April 30, 2020. On May 21, 2020, the Michigan Court of Claims ordered on the Legislators v Governor lawsuit denied. “It is hereby ordered the relief requested in plaintiff’s motion for immediate declaratory judgement is denied. While the Governor’s action of redeclaring the same emergency violated the provisions of the Emergency Management Act plaintiff’s challenges to the Emergency Powers of Governor Act and the Governor’s authority to issue Executive Orders there under are meritless.”
