On May 21, 2020, the Michigan Court of Claims ordered on the Legislators v Governor lawsuit denied. “It is hereby ordered the relief requested in plaintiff’s motion for immediate declaratory judgement is denied. While the Governor’s action of redeclaring the same emergency violated the provisions of the Emergency Management Act plaintiff’s challenges to the Emergency Powers of Governor Act and the Governor’s authority to issue Executive Orders there under are meritless.”
