Know How to Find Your State’s Laws!
Whether you’re applying for a license, were a victim of a crime, just trying to improve or maintain your home or business, government employees/officials get involved. Since, most unfortunately do NOT know the laws pertaining to their official duties, YOU must be prepared with the knowledge in that area. So, this week’s #GetInvolvedChallenge is to study your state legislature’s website, so you will be better equipped to find certain laws/chapters when something comes up.
What are your legislators up to? This week’s #GetInvolvedChallenge is to find an app or website that makes it easier for you to contact your legislators. We’re all busy, but we must do our part to instruct our representatives.
When a new SCOTUS decision comes out, do you READ it yourself? Or do you read only summaries or take someone else’s word for it? It’s time we STOP being ignorant and dependent! So, this week’s #GetInvolvedChallenge is to read the official summaries (“syllabus”) of EACH new case, and for any topics that interest or involve you, read the FULL decision for YOURSELF! Will it take time and patience? Yes, but Freedom doesn’t come easy!
The Henrys have been hauled into yet another Magistrate hearing – this time to cover the “harm” Henrys’ pavers & privacy fence cause to the city. So, this week’s #GetInvolvedChallenge is to join them in support at OB City Hall at 10AM on Monday 5/20/24. Katherine’s been there to help countless people being unconstitutionally trampled by the government. Will you be there for Katherine?
This week’s #GetInvolvedChallenge is to find out all the offices and ballot proposals that will be on your ballot this year. #VoteInformed
Given the appellate Court case update given yesterday, this week’s #GetInvolvedChallenge is to help encourage The Institute for Justice to get involved in the Henrys’ Ormond Beach case. Go to https://ij.org/ and share the link https://RestoreFreedomKH.com/OBCase
How much do you really know about appeals? You or a loved one can find yourself needing to appeal a case in the blink of an eye – especially a case brought against you! This week’s #GetInvolvedChallenge is to download this Appeal Handbook, and study at least the Table of Contents and the Glossary: RestoreFreedomKH.com/of68 It’s written for Florida Appeals, but many of the main concepts and terms are the same across the US.
Relating to this week’s T or F topic, this week’s #GetInvolvedChallenge is to determine what your state’s procedures are when you want to appeal, but don’t have the automatic “right” to do so. Check your State’s Constitution and court rules for terms like “application for leave to appeal” or “appeal by leave” or petition for “writ of Certiorari” to appeal.
Tuesday’s True or False touched on an important misconception Americans have about appeals. Given it is such a common misconception, this week’s #GetInvolvedChallenge is to identify the portions of your state’s Constitution and court rules that explain the appellate jurisdiction of the courts in your state.
Last week’s #GetInvolvedChallenge was to read the portion of your state’s constitution on local government…but how well do you really know it? This week, we challenge you to read it again! We guarantee you’ll get something new out of it this time.
There’s tyranny at all levels of government, but we must do what we can where we are. So, I urge you to focus on your #LocalGovernment in these coming weeks. This week’s #GetInvolvedChallenge is to read the portion of your State’s Constitution on Local Government.
This week’s #GetInvolvedChallenge is to volunteer for a state or local candidate for 2 hours this month. We’re all busy, but even those of us balancing careers and homeschooling and other responsibilities can find some way to volunteer for 2 hrs this month. You might not think 2 hrs can have an impact on a state or local campaign, but it could be the difference between a successful campaign event or one that falls flat, having several supporters walking with you in a parade or walking alone, or knocking on the doors of 60 more voters. #DoYourPart
Let’s face it… there’s endless political corruption & government tyranny, and most politicians trample rather than protect our God-given liberties. But, we must stay positive to win this freedom war. So, this week’s #GetInvolvedChallenge is to find at least one government official who actively supports the Constitution and defends our rights. Identify him/her, sign up for their newsletter (or follow them on social media), and let them know how much you appreciate their hard work.
Robert’s Rules of Order are used to govern proceedings in most governmental bodies & private sector organizations. This week’s #GetInvolvedChallenge is to take a RRO class from a professional parliamentarian, so you know the proper procedure for participating in such meetings.
Last week, we challenged you to pick #1ToRestoreIn2024. This week’s #GetInvolvedChallenge is to identify a trustworthy organization or news source which focuses on your main 2024 freedom fighting topic. Sign up for their newsletter, follow them on social media, etc. . . . and mute or filter the notifications from organizations focusing on other topics. Remember – time is precious, so use yours with intentionality.
The freedom fight is exhausting and can be quite overwhelming; so, this week’s #GetInvolvedChallenge is to pick #1ToRestoreIn2024 … So, pick the freedom you will devote most of your efforts toward this year. Then limit the social media, news, events, newsletters, etc. which don’t focus on that topic.

With attorney Jenna Ellis recently pleading guilty in the Georgia election interference case, some people think that she and the other attorneys took the plea without outright admitting guilt. So, this week’s #GetInvolvedChallenge is to watch her 4 minute plea hearing video and determine for yourself if she’s admitting her guilt or proclaiming her innocence. https://youtu.be/sR2Yaj1Xj-A?si=J-Csq_n7Ix1cxOWe
Here’s the “facts” from the prosecutor she admitted to https://youtu.be/KEM2qeBXGU8?si=C7z-4mPdLfbsQwSF
Although it is an “off-year election” for many across the country next week, it is an important civic duty nonetheless. So, this week’s #GetInvolvedChallenge is to ensure you vote INFORMED in next week’s election (if your community has one scheduled).
With this week’s video being about Federal Income Taxes, this #GetInvolvedChallenge is for you to read the entirety of the Taxpayer Bill of Rights at irs.gov/taxpayer-bill-of-rights Isn’t it worth the 5 minute read to bolster your ability to fight for your rights?
Some communities hold elections every 2 years, but others hold at least some type of election every year. This week’s #GetInvolvedChallenge is to check with your local election official to see if you have any candidates, ballot proposals, millages, or other matters to vote on next month.
