The Supreme Court does NOT give authority to the other branches of government to take certain actions. The ONLY source of government authority comes from the Constitution (US and State Constitutions). ALL office holders are BOUND to follow the terms of the Constitution, whether they like them or not. During scary times or not. It’s that simple. The Constitution is the contract from which all government authority flows, and if it’s not in there, the government CAN’T do it!
