T/F Tuesday Answer: FALSE! The 5th & 14th Amendments guarantee that our life, liberty or property will not be taken away without due process of law. Especially since most municipal ordinance violation hearings are quasi judicial or administrative in nature, due process requires an appeal to a higher Court be available. The tricky part is that the process to appeal varies greatly from one jurisdiction to another.

According to S&LG, in Michigan, the state legislature is considering SB 0004, a proposal to amend the civil rights law to add a number of preferred protections, including protections for sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. US government asserts that it, not Moderna, should face a lawsuit alleging patent infringement with its COVID-19 vaccine. The government said the court should allow it to “relieve Moderna of any liability for patent infringement resulting in performance of the ’-0100 contract and to transfer to the United States any liability for the manufacture or use of the inventions claimed in the patents-in-suit resulting from the authorized and consented acts.”
