Freedom Fighting Tools – Judicial Codes of Conduct

You don’t like what a judge did in your case. What can you do about it? If the law is on your side, you should consider an appeal. But if the judge’s conduct was egregious, you may have other options. The first step in knowing if the judge can face personal accountability for misconduct is to read your state’s Code of Judicial Conduct. The Florida Code of Judicial Conduct is at https://floridajqc.com/code-of-conduct/, and the Michigan Code of Judicial Conduct is at https://restorefreedomkh.com/4viz #FreedomFightingTool #BeInformed

Freedom Fighting Tools – Reporting Bad Judicial Conduct

How can we hold judges accountable for the oath they took to defend the US and State Constitutions? If you have a specific instance of judicial misconduct to report, search for your state’s judicial oversight organization. In Michigan, it’s the Judicial Tenure Commission. In Florida, it’s the Judicial Qualifications Commission. The Florida link is https://restorefreedomkh.com/53ta. The Michigan link is https://restorefreedomkh.com/mijtc. Dictionaries – Part 3 of 3

Dictionaries (Part 3 of 3). In order to properly understand the Constitution, we must know the meaning of the words to the average person at the time the Constitution was adopted. That’s why this week’s #FreedomFightingTool is two unique dictionaries. A Dictionary of the English Language by Samuel Johnson, 1709-1784 can be found at https://archive.org/details/johnsons_dictionary_1755/page/n1831/mode/2up and Websters 1828 Dictionary https://webstersdictionary1828.com/Dictionary/

Dictionaries – Part 2 of 3

Dictionaries (Part 2 of 3). When reading laws, rules, court documents, contracts, etc., it’s important to know the real meaning of the words being used. In the legal setting, the first place to find the relevant definition is the statute or rule involved. If reading a court order or opinion, that document may provide the definition itself. Otherwise, Black’s Law Dictionary is the primary external source to use in searching for legal definitions. However, for words not defined in any of these, courts next rely on Webster’s Dictionary as the standard. That’s why this week’s #FreedomFightingTool is Webster’s Dictionary.

So, do yourself a favor and buy a hard copy of the unabridged Black’s Law Dictionary as an important #FreedomFightingTool .  The version isn’t as important as having a hard copy that you can hold in your hands.

Victim Impact Statement sample

Being the victim of a crime can be hard in many ways. The justice system doesn’t do a good job of giving the victim a voice. One way to have your voice heard as a victim is to share a Victim Impact Statement at the Sentencing of the defendant. Prosecutors don’t often properly prepare victims, or let them know what factors a judge is supposed to consider at sentencing. My family and I were victims of a crime in November 2024, and the defendant was just sentenced this week. This week’s #FreedomFightingTool is the Victim Impact Statement I prepared for this sentencing hearing. As you can see, I researched the relevant statutes and court rules, and acknowledged the factors the court must consider. Keep this for reference in case you or someone you know ever find yourself needing to make a similar statement in court. Check out https://restorefreedomkh.com/0e3v

SCOTUS Freedom Fighting Tool

More and more Americans are keeping a watchful eye on cases coming out of SCOTUS.  Although it’s imperative we remember that SCOTUS cannot make LAW (and the concept of case “law” does not comport with our Constitutional Republic), it’s also important that we know how to read a court case for ourselves, so we can truly understand the impact of the ruling made, and not simply rely on others to summarize it for us. With that in mind, this week’s #FreedomFightingTool is a 2-page explanation of How to Read a US Supreme Court Opinion. Remember, knowledge is power . . . don’t rely on others to have all the knowledge – or power. Check out https://wp.me/aecX6i-3DZ
