Who pays for the work-related expenses of Volusia County Council members—and what would Proposal 2 change?
In this short presentation, Constitutional Attorney Katherine Henry explains Volusia County Proposal 2, one of five proposed amendments to the Volusia County Home Rule Charter appearing on the 2026 General Election ballot.
Proposal 2 would allow County Council members to be reimbursed for in-county “expenses” in addition to their $55,000 annual pay.
