Separation of church & state or God in the Constitution? North Dakota’s Constitution specifically acknowledges our Almighty God, and our Blessings (which come from God). Although not as creative as some state constitutions, ND does include this important statement – Preamble. We, the people of North Dakota, grateful to Almighty God for the blessings of civil and religious liberty, do ordain and establish this constitution.
