Separation of church & state or God in the Constitution? Minnesota’s Constitution specifically acknowledges God & our Blessings. Having finished high school, college and law school in Minnesota, its people & government have special meaning for me. With this in mind, I pay special attention to Minnesota’s Preamble: We, the people of the state of Minnesota, grateful to God for our civil and religious liberty, and desiring to perpetuate its blessings and secure the same to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution.
