T/F Tuesday Answer: FALSE!  Newest estimates show 120,000 people in attendance at the J6 events, with 1,200 entering the capitol building. There was unnecessary violence from people on both sides that day, leaving countless injured or even dead. With the vast majority of the violence & other crimes committed on the way into the capitol building (or while already inside), the J6 offenses contrast greatly from BLM protests which aim their violence & property destruction toward private individuals, residences and businesses, IN ADDITION TO government officers and property. BLM violence was used to terrorize & threaten the public as well as the police; J6 violence was used to gain access to government proceedings. (This is not to say one is acceptable and the other is not; rather just pointing out that #FactsMatter ) But J6 and BLM protests have a commonality in that not ALL participating in the protests are committing acts of violence or other crimes. DOJ reports 725 people charged (not necessarily found guilty) in violent AND nonviolent J6 offenses – only 0.6 percent of those protesting that day.
