On Tuesday, May 23, 2023, the Ottawa County Board of Commissioners will consider a resolution to protect constitutional freedoms in Ottawa County, including the Second Amendment and parental rights, at our 6:30 p.m. board meeting.

The resolution “declares Ottawa County, Michigan to be a ‘Constitutional County,’ and resolves to protect the individual freedoms of the people of Ottawa County as outlined in the Constitutions of the United States and the State of Michigan, to include freedom of speech, religion, and assembly, the right to keep and bear arms, and the right to due process.”

The mission of Ottawa Impact is to preserve and protect the individual rights of the people in Ottawa County.

The county resolution is important for the protection of constitutional rights, and helps to clarify the direction of the county.
